internet = network edge + network core

 

1.

network edge : 네트워크구성에서 가장 종단 부분,

end systems = hosts = end nodes =  stations =  terminals =네트워크 트래픽을 생성/소비하는 장비

access networks : 홈네트워크망 residential network, institutional network, home network, mobile network = 네트워크가입자인 인터넷 사용자가 처음 접속하는 망으로 집 학교 회사 이동중에 따른 다른 기술이 사용됨

network core : packet switching, circuit switching, internet structure

L2-switch(2)

L3-switch(L2-switch + routing(네트워크상에서 주소를 이용하여 통신 데이터를 목적지까지 보낼 최적의 경로를 선택하는 과정) - WAN): VLAN을 지원하기위해 LAN안에서 사용됨

두 개의 host 사이의 통신을 위해 = 데이터 교환을 위해 delivering end user data 를 목표로하는 네트워크 장비

 

Protocol layers and Service models at each layer

 

Network performance metrics : Delay, Loss, Throughput

 

communication link - 다양한 (copper fiber radio)물리계층으로 구현됨 , 대표적인 link capacity는 bw나 transmission rate로 평가됨

 

iot - low power and high connectivity 가 핵심 요구사항

LPWAN(lora sigfox)등이 iot를 위해 복잡하고 power소비가 많은 5G개발하려고 노력함,

최근 5G를 저전력으로 사용하도록 변경해 iot서비스 지원하는 통신사가 생김

 

네트워크 구성 (Network core, Network edge, Access network)

 

MAC 주소와 IP 주소 차이 (생성, 사용 방식)

protocol : format order action 

두 소프트웨어 모듈 사이의 동작을 정의한 것

두 소프트웨어는 반드시 같은 계층에 속한 모둘

ex) http, streaming video, tcp, ip, wifi, 4g, ethernet

network protocol : 3 way

 

3 network perfomance : delay ,loss, throughput

internet service option: no loss, max latency , min throughput

 

isp : internet service 를 파는 사업체 

nsp : network infrastructure를 파는 사업

 

access network : 이터넷 사용자를 인터넷에 연결된 다른 access 네트워크의 첫번째 라우터까지 포함한 네트워크 

residential network:

adsl(digital subsriber line)-> 댁내망에서는 central office 를 access network의 edge router로 본다.  isdn -> adsl

mobile network 3g 4g lte 5g
